Lee Mevis 1958

I retired from what was then Firstar Bank (now part of US Bank) in 1997 after 34 years there and 40 in banking. I've done some consulting for a couple of smaller banks and a supermarket company. I'm on the board of the supermarket company and a charitable foundation, so I'm still active in the business world. My wife and I have travelled quite a bit, mostly overseas, and enjoy spending time at our lake home "up north". We have two married daughters (both DG's at Lawrence University) and three grandchildren. Life is good! I'm at leemevis@aol.com

EDWARD B. COTTRELL -- 1949

In 2007-2008, from April'07 to April'08, I lost two brothers and my only sister[Cancer and diabetes]. I will be 84 next Halloween('08) and just found out that I am one of the first 18 graduates recorded in the newly instituted bachelor's degree program: "Applied Mathematics for Engineers and Physicists". Wisconsin started the program right after World War II. My 1949 Class sonsisted of nine AMEP graduates with only nine graduates before 1949 and no more than three in any one year. The degree program is in the Mathematics Department,in the College of Arts and Sciences. Philip Vessa '03 Been working as an associate attorney in New York practicing personal injury and matrimonial law and living in NYC. Jeff "Ski" Pietrusznski 1996

I am currently a professor at West Virginia State University where I   teach English (Shakespeare) and run the General Education program.  I   am also married and my wife just gave birth to our first child (Lillian   Grace).  The one thing I regret is not staying in touch with many of the   friends I made during my time at Madison.  Hopefully this message board   will change that.  If you remember me (of course you would only   remember my nickname "Ski"), feel free to drop me a line. (Although now,   technically, it is Dr. Ski)

Mike Klein (1987)

Mike Klein is now based in Belgium, where he has recently joined   Cargill as Europe-Mideast-Africa Communications Lead for an   organisational transformation initiative.  A 1998 MBA graduate of London   Business School, Klein also serves on the Europe-Middle East board of   the International Association of Business Communicators and has worked   with clients who include Shell, Barclays, Cable & Wireless,   Vodafone, the US Department of Transportation and Reuters.      Aside from career interests, Mike remains politically active (an active   member of Democrats Abroad, a supporter of Barack Obama, and a volunteer   consultant to a Belgian political party) and is also an avid beer   connoisseur with over 150 beer reviews written on Ratebeer.com.  Mike is   also an avid traveller, having been to Switzerland, France, Holland,   the UK, Germany, Bosnia, Slovenia, Serbia, Croatia and Turkey in the   past year.

P-MAN's Bachelor Party Vegas Style Sept 8th

Brian Hahn 1972

I'm in my 35th year of working for National Weather Service...and I plan to continue working for a few more years managing the hydrological services program. For the past 22 years, I've been in charge of a week-long employees and guests golf tournament in the 3rd week of June...held in a different place every year. This year's tournament is in Wis. Dells. Archie Myers ’42

Archie Myers ’42 is enjoying retirement, splitting his time between Monroe, WI, and Fountain Hills, AZ. He has seen Forrest Kubly ’40, Alvin Kubly ’41, Paul Pohle ’42, and Jim Swiggum ’66. Edward Nelson ’59 Edward Nelson ’59 is Professor Emeritus of Educational Psychology at the University of Arizona, living in Phoenix. James Duner ’71 has just retired from the FBI (“Ran up against the mandatory age limit.”) He is living in Denver, CO, and writes, “I am now a Reserve FBI Agent, a security consultant and a lawyer in a small private practice. Mark Van Frachen ’92

Mark Van Frachen ’92 is a third-year student at Charis Bible College, in Colorado Springs, training for foreign missionary work as a bible teacher. He has been married for 13 years to Alpha Xi Delta and Wisconsin alumna Sara Graney. “No children yet. We are in our fifteenth private lesson with our Russian language tutor in preparation for our second short-term mission to St. Petersburg, Russia. Earl Strade ’61 Obituary

Earl Strade ’61, of DeForest, WI, died on Oct. 5, 2006, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison. Earl was born on June 15, 1938, in Oshkosh, the son of Harry and Meta (Dehne) Strade. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin in January of 1961 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Earl worked as a mechanical engineer for various companies across the country.

Eugene Woehler ’49 retired as a wildlife research biologist in 1987. He continues to consult on a part-time basis. Keith Campbell ’59

Keith Campbell ’59 lives in Spring Valley, CA. He writes, “I retired from teaching in a high school district in 1999, after 36 years in the classroom. My wife Connie and I have two grandchildren who are Native American Indians and live on a reservation here in San Diego County. Noel Eberhardt ’61

Noel Eberhardt ’61 lives in Cupertino, CA. He writes, that he retired from Motorola in 2002, and “then founded Rolli Rider, LLC, (www.rollirider.com) to design and manufacture a riding toy to teach children balance and how to ride a two wheeler. Rolli Rider was featured in The New York Times in an article titled ‘No Training Wheels Necessary.’ My son and I build them in our garages. Barry Norem ’68

Barry Norem’s home chapter, Wisconsin Delta (Wisconsin-Stevens Point ’68), ceased to exist in the 1970s. “Since 1994, I have been on the alumni board at Wisconsin Beta. Michael Stanley (Western Michigan, ’65) has been an active member of the WI Beta alumni board since 1980.
